John is a business coach with a proven track record of 30+ years in business & leadership, specializing in the hospitality industry. He has been fortunate to have worked with a variety of organizations including Four Seasons Hotels, Earls Restaurants, Kanke Seafood Restaurants, Oak Bay Marine Group, The Truffles Group, and Trading Post Brewing Company where he is currently an investor, adviser and coach. John was educated at Queen’s University, Le Cordon Bleu, London, and has a Masters in International Hotel & Tourism Management from Schiller International University, London.
John has a great passion for working with both entrepreneurs and larger corporates in creating high performance businesses. His specialities lie with menu development & engineering, profitability optimization, feasibility studies and new business planning. In addition, he has extensive experience in developing Values & Principles-based cultures, achieving alignment within teams, improving employee retention and bringing businesses to optimal health & performance. John takes great pleasure in working with leadership teams and facilitates annual and quarterly planning sessions aimed at achieving results.
John met his American wife, Renee, while a student at a French Culinary School (Cordon Bleu), in London, England. The Reese’s have 3 children aged 24, 22 and 17.
