Christian Codrington
Christian Codrington has held senior human resources and management roles with organizations such as Chartered Professional Human Resources of BC, Best Buy Canada, Starbucks Coffee Canada and the Children’s & Women’s Health Centre of BC. Curiosity and reciprocity have been important beacons to help guide decisions and actions throughout his career. Christian has the breadth of experiences to be truly classified as an HR generalist. He has led large scale recruitment efforts, conducted organization-wide compensation reviews, developed and delivered a variety of training initiatives, negotiated collective agreements, and assisted staff with their transitions during downsizing efforts. He has had the benefit of overseeing operational components in a community services organization and in every organization, been a strong partner to the operations teams. In addition, Christian also instructs several HR courses in the Continuing Education Program of Simon Fraser University.
Christian graduated from Simon Fraser University with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration concentrating in Organizational Behaviour. He supplemented those learnings with two certificates from the Justice Institute of BC – one in Conflict Resolution and Third Party Negotiation and another in Mediation.
Christian’s bucket list includes developing the confidence to one day get up on stage and play his guitar at an open mic night at a local bar, so he continues to take lessons to get there. In the meantime, his two boys are his music heroes.
