When the chemistry is good, everything is possible," so say Frank Bourree, Christine Stoneman and Charles Shier, three of Victoria’s best-known business and community leaders who have pooled their proven talents and creative energies to launch Chemistry Consulting Group Inc., a new consulting firm specializing in a wide range of practical services and specialist expertise in business, tourism, financial advisory and human resource areas.
"We believe there is a significant opportunity for a mid-sized firm like ours to make a real impact in the British Columbia marketplace given our experience and credentials." said Bourree. "As former partner and principals with Grant Thornton LLP in Victoria, we spent 11 years building and nurturing networks around the province. Our ability to respond in innovative ways to business needs across BC is second to none because we know the communities and understand their unique opportunities and challenges. As we move toward 2010, we felt the time was right to pursue our entrepreneurial bent and embark on this initiative."
Stoneman’s message is simple. "We get it. We understand that success in a competitive global economy requires long-term strategic considerations that provide compatible, flexible solutions for the changing nature of our world. We have built and run a successful, dynamic company – a company that required an organizational model which allowed for flexible and responsive decision-making as the business matured over time. This company is still a part of us and continues to evolve and improve with success," she adds, referencing Chemistry subsidiary GT Hiring Solutions (2005) Inc. GT Hiring Solutions delivers the BCEP employment program on behalf of the Ministry of Employment and Income Assistance via nine satellite offices with 22 employees on Vancouver Island and in the Lower Mainland.
Charles Shier, a CA with long practice experience in Victoria, manages the business and administrative ends for Chemistry and GT Hiring Solutions. Charles also provides his expertise in financial feasibility models and projections for consulting clients. "Chemistry is about the special blend of skills and experience that the three of us bring together when we take on new assignments. We also have a strong group of associate consultants we can call upon to meet the particular needs of the client."
